Winter Storm Update Morning January 15, 2023

Good morning all,

Currently all main arterial and major collector streets, although wet, are clear and passable. Street Maintenance crews are working to clear what little snow has accumulated on the minor collectors and local residential streets City wide. They will continue with that work until they too are clear and passable.

Current forecasts are indicating that the rain/snow mix will turn to all rain by 10:00 a.m. or so this morning. Reducing chances of precipitation, down to around 20% by 5:00p.m., are also forecast until late tonight when the second wave of this storm series will begin to impact the area with rain/snow mix, turning to all snow by around midnight.

Please continue to use caution while traveling, as roads will remain quite wet throughout the day, and may become covered with wet slushy snow later tonight.

Street Maintenance will continue to monitor weather and road conditions throughout the day and into the overnight hours, and will dispatch crews as needed, if crews are not already on duty.

As always Street Maintenance thanks all of our residents and visitors for their continued cooperation as we work to keep the streets clear and safe for travel. Thank you and have a wonderful and safe day.

Brian Scott, Street Maintenance Superintendent
