Good afternoon all,
At this time all city streets are substantially clear and completely passable. Street Maintenance crews are currently conducting mop-up operations in those areas that need some widening out to the curb lines. They will also begin to treat icy areas City wide as temperatures start dropping below the freezing point. A crew will also report for duty in the early morning hours tomorrow to, again treat icy areas ahead of the morning commute.
We ask that you keep in mind that there are areas around the City that will continue to hold frozen snow and ice, particularly those areas that don’t get much sunshine. This will cause hazardous conditions through the overnight hours, and well into tomorrow morning. Please continue to drive with extreme caution and take your time if you must travel.
This will be the last update for this storm system, as we prepare for the next system forecast to begin impacting the area as early as 11:00 p.m. tomorrow night.
Thank you again, and please drive very carefully.
Brian Scott, Street Maintenance Superintendent
