Winter Storm Update Afternoon January 15, 2023

Good afternoon all,

Conditions have not changed much since this morning’s report. Streets citywide remain clear and passable, although wet in many areas. Street Maintenance continues to keep an eye on the weather forecasts, and has crews and equipment on stand-by ready to respond when conditions warrant. The chances of precipitation have increased somewhat. However, accumulating snowfall is not forecast until the late night and early morning hours.

Street Maintenance will have a full snow crew report for duty, based on the current overnight forecast at 12:00 a.m., to plow and treat for slick road conditions as needed. Please keep in mind that hazardous travel conditions may be present, particularly during the morning commute, as temperatures are at their lowest just before, during and shortly after sunrise. When traveling be aware of snow and possible icy conditions and adjust your speed to accommodate for these conditions.

As always we would like to thank you for your continued cooperation and patience while we work towards keeping the streets clear and passable during these winter storm events.

Brian Scott, Street Maintenance Superintendent
