Winter Storm Update 12/13/22 Morning

Good morning all,

With another round of heavy snowfall last evening and into the overnight, Street Maintenance has a full plow crew working to keep clear and treat icy areas Citywide.

At this time all main arterial streets and major collectors are plowed and passable. They do remain icy though, so please continue to drive with extreme caution. These conditions are likely to continue at least through the morning hours. City crews will continue to revisit and treat icy areas and continue working to clear minor collectors and local residential streets.

Road conditions should continue improve with warming temperatures and sunshine, however the forecast is still calling for a slight chance for snow showers after 11:00 a.m. with increasing clouds going into this afternoon and evening. This will keep temperatures lower and in turn, winter driving conditions will persist well into Wednesday.

As always, we ask that you leave plenty of extra time to arrive safely at your destinations, lots of braking distance and room between you and other vehicles on the road.  Again we’d like to thank you for your continued cooperation and patience while Street Maintenance works to clear the streets of Prescott, and please drive safely.

Brian Scott, Street Maintenance Superintendent
