Update from the Mayor on Negotiations between AED and the City of Prescott

City expects at least two study sessions and public hearing

Prescott Mayor Greg Mengarelli reports that negotiations between the City of Prescott and Arizona Eco Development (AED) are progressing in a very positive manner, and that there is every reason to believe a successful conclusion to the negotiations is achievable this spring.

“We all understand the widespread community interest in these negotiations, and appreciate the public’s continuing patience,” said Mayor Mengarelli. “I think it’s safe to say that these complex negotiations are winding down, and very soon the public will have ample opportunity to review and comment on the development agreement, annexation and the deal terms.”  In conclusion, he said “We are optimistic that once citizens have a chance to review the proposed agreement, they will see that what we are achieving is a “win-win” outcome.”
