Station #71 was built in 1990 and cost $800,000. Station 71’s response area is 9 sq. miles. Response area includes; City of Prescott, Prescott National Forest, Hwy 89, and rural areas surrounding city. Station 71 houses a Type III, US Forest Service Engine with 4-7 personnel. Station 71 responded to 2,527 unit responses (calls) for service (E71&B1 combined) in FY 2015.

A portion of the station is set up with historical memorabilia, photos, alarm systems, trophies etc. The public is welcome to visit the station and see firsthand all of the old and new fire department memorabilia.
