New Year's Updates

The Annual New Year's Eve Whiskey Row Boot Drop will be held December 31, 2015, in front of the Palace Restaurant & Saloon. This family-friendly event features a 6-foot illuminated cowboy boot that will be lowered down a 40-foot flagpole to ring in the New Year, once at 10 pm for early birds and once at midnight for traditionalists. A DJ will spin tunes, and food vendors will be there from 8 pm to 1 am. For more information, click Here

Residential Trash Pick-Up

The City of Prescott will Not Be collecting residential trash and recyclables on Friday, January 1st. Collection will take place on Thursday, December 31. If Friday is your normal day of collection, please have your containers curbside on Thursday by 6:00 a.m. Commercial routes will also be serviced on the Thursday before New Years. The City of Prescott Transfer Station will be closed on Friday, January 1st and will reopen on Saturday, January 2nd from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please remember to contain and cover all loads when transporting them to the Transfer Station located at 2800 Sundog Ranch Road. Christmas Tree Collection

The Solid Waste Division will be performing a curbside Christmas Tree Collection.
The City of Prescott Solid Waste Division will pass through each City neighborhood one time only, the week of January 11, through January 15.

Please have trees curbside by 6 a.m. on your normal collection day and cleared of all ornaments and stands.

City of Prescott residential solid waste customers may also dispose of their live Christmas trees at the Transfer Station for free anytime after Christmas Day through Saturday January 23.

No plastic trees will be picked up during this collection.

Library Hours

Prescott Public Library will close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2015 for New Year's Eve. It will also be closed in observance of New Year's Day on Friday, January 1, 2016. The library will reopen at 9 a.m. on Saturday, January 2.
