Memorial Day Weekend 2015
According to the National Weather Service, Prescott residents are in for pleasant weather this Memorial Day weekend, with temperatures reaching the 60's and low 70's during the day, with only a small chance of rain.

Citizens Cemetary
The Yavapai Cemetery Association presents its 20th annual Memorial Day observance in the historic Citizens Cemetery. The ceremony includes patriotic speeches by local officials and dignitaries; music by the Veterans Memorial Pipers Corp and Prescott Brass ensemble; presentation of flags by the Camp Verde Cavalry and the Arizona Rough Riders; flag raising,volley and echo taps by American Legion Post 6; community procession and attendance by numerous military organizations and living history groups.
The historic Citizens Cemetery was founded in 1864 and contains the graves of more than 3,000 Yavapai County pioneers. Veterans of numerous wars,including the Civil War, are interred in the cemetery.
Admission is free. Parking is available in the nearby Yavapai College parking lots and surrounding streets. Bring a chair for your own comfort.

Visit Prescott Fire Department During National EMS Week
In honor of National Emergency Services (EMS) Week, the Prescott Fire Department (Station 71, 333 White Spar Road) will open its doors to the public on Saturday, May 23, and Sunday May 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Activities will include tours of the station and the PFD museum, a close-up look at the EMS capabilities, hands on interaction with the 75' ladder truck and other apparatus, a chance to spray water from a real fire hose.
Trash and Recyclables Pickup Schedule
The City of Prescott Solid Waste Division WILL BE collecting residential trash and recyclables on Monday, May 25, 2015. Please have your containers curbside on your normal pick up day by 6 a.m. Commercial routes will be serviced on their regular schedule. The City of Prescott Transfer Station WILL BE OPEN regular business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., for the holiday.
