Independence Day Impacts to City Services – July 4, 2016

MONDAY SOLID WASTE SERVICE NOT IMPACTED

Solid Waste Service – The Solid Waste Division WILL BEcollecting residential trash and recyclables on Monday, July 4th. Please have your containers curbside by 6:00 a.m. Commercial routes will also be serviced on their regular schedule.
The City of Prescott Transfer Station WILL BE open on Monday, July 4th, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please remember to contain and cover all loads when transporting them to the Transfer Station located at 2800 Sundog Ranch Road.

CLOSURES

Prescott Public Library – The library will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Monday, July 4, 2016. The library will reopen at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5. You can browse the online calendar and check out E-Books online at www.prescottlibrary.info any time!

Garage on Granite – The 5th floor and the ramp leading to the 5th floor of the public parking garage on Granite Street will be closed to parking from Sunday, July 3 through Monday, July 4, 2016, to prepare for and conduct the July 4th fireworks display.

All vehicles must be removed from the 5th floor and ramp leading to the 5th floor in the garage before 4:00 a.m., Sunday, July 3. Remaining vehicles will be towed at the owner's expense. Notices will be posted at the garage in advance, with signs and police barricades placed within the garage a week prior to the closure. Despite the partial closure, 390 parking spaces will remain available to the public on the 1st through 4th floors.

As a reminder, Saturday July 2nd and Sunday July 3rd are on the list of charge days at the Garage, at a fee of $5 per day with all-day in and out access, subject to availability of spaces. Parking on Monday, July 4, is free to the public. Further information about the Parking Garage and a full list of charge days is available at www.prescott-az.gov.
