Holiday Trash Pick Up Schedule and Christmas Tree Collection
The Solid Waste Division will be collecting residential trash and recyclables based on the following schedule:
- Monday, January 1, New Year’s Holiday no collection
- Tuesday, January 2, Monday’s trash and recycle routes will be collected
- Wednesday, January 3, Tuesday’s trash and recycle will be collected
- Thursday, January 4, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s trash and recycle will be collected
- Friday, January 5, Friday’s trash and recycling will be collected
Commercial trash and recycling collection will be based on the following schedule:
- Monday, January 1, Christmas Holiday no collection
- Tuesday, January 2, Monday’s and Tuesday’s trash routes and Monday’s recycle routes will be collected
- Wednesday, January 3, the remainder of Tuesday’s trash and Wednesday’s trash and recycling will be collected
- Thursday, January 4, Thursday’s trash will be collected
- Friday, January 5, Friday’s trash and recycling will be collected
Please have your trash and recycling containers out by 6:00 A.M. for service as outlined in the above schedule. As a reminder, have all material placed inside the trash and recycling container for collection. The operators are unable to load additional material placed outside the containers. Additional recyclable material can be brought to the Recycle Center located outside the Transfer Station, 2800 Sundog Ranch Road.
Additionally, the City of Prescott Transfer Station will be closed on New Year’s Day, January 1. The Transfer Station will reopen on Tuesday, January 2 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please remember to contain and cover all loads when transporting them to the Transfer Station located at 2800 Sundog Ranch Road.
Christmas Tree Collection January 8th through January 12th. The City of Prescott Solid Waste Division will pass through each City neighborhood one time only. Please have trees curbside by 6 a.m. on your normal collection day and cleared of all ornaments and stands.
City of Prescott residential solid waste customers may also dispose of their live Christmas trees at the Transfer Station at no charge as long as they bring in their utility bill or drivers license to verify residence in the City. This service is available after Christmas Day through Saturday January 20th.
All trees coming into the Transfer Station will need to be covered and contained prior to entering the facility.
No plastic trees will be picked up during this collection.
