City to Host Community Open House Regarding Lower Goldwater Lake Improvement Project

The City of Prescott Recreation Services Department will host a community open house regarding the proposed Lower Goldwater Lake Improvement Project on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Grace Sparks Activity Center (Armory), 824 E. Gurley Street.

The project is to construct a recreational area in the Lower Goldwater Lake area. Plans will include parking, fishing, restrooms, a Ramada, and day use areas along with a trail system that will encircle and connect both lakes.

“We are very excited for the opportunity to add this great amenity to the parks system that is a large contributor to the quality of life in this community while at the same time retaining the character of this spectacular property,” said Joe Baynes, Recreation Services Director.

The community open house will provide an opportunity to meet representatives from the project team; the design engineer from Kelley-Wise, AZ Dept. of Game & Fish as well as the City of Prescott and ask questions, and learn more about the overall project.
