City Seeks New Board and Commission Applications
Want to help plan the future of Parks and Recreation? Have a knack for evaluating building proposals based on their adherence to city codes or historic preservation requirements? The City of Prescott wants you to serve on one of its many volunteer boards and commissions that advise and make recommendations to the City Council.
The city is currently seeking applications for a number of boards and commissions.
Advisory groups, boards, commissions, and committees provide opportunities for citizens to take an active role in their local government. Members are appointed by the Mayor and/or City Council. If there are more applicants than seats open, the City Council Appointment Committee will review applications and if necessary conduct interviews with candidates in order to make recommendations to the full council for appointments.
Applications will begin to be reviewed on January 15, 2016.
For more information on the groups, visit the Boards and Commissions section of the City website, or contact the City Clerk’s Office at 928-777-1437.
