      • There will be no Friday residential or commercial trash pick-up, and the transfer station will also be closed.  Trash cans should be put out on Monday morning and left out until serviced.   For questions, call 928-777-1126. Staff will be on duty answering.
    • Recreation Services and the Grace Sparks Center.
    • Fire Administration
    • Rosser Adult Center
    • Prescott Regional Airport is closed until midday
  • Essential and Emergency City Services remain operational, but access is limited due to icy road conditions in some areas. The City will respond to emergencies, acknowledging limited access/capacity.

  • Please be reminded that Prescott is still under a Snow Emergency, and a Winter Storm Warning. Expect continued hazardous winter driving conditions, including ice and additional snowfall.  PLEASE REFRAIN FROM DRIVING if at all possible so snow plows can continue to operate and emergency services personnel can respond as needed.
  • There are areas where snow plows have limited access.  Our focused effort remains on clearing and maintaining major arterial streets open and safe.  Side streets and residential neighborhoods will be cleared as conditions permit, over the next several days. This has been an unprecedented snow event, the City urges patience as we continue to make progress.
  • The City has every available resource out working on snow removal.   Public Works currently has 16 plows, 2 graders, and 5 backhoes deployed and are concentrating on the main arterials and major and minor collectors.
  • As of 9:00 a.m. on Friday, February 22, over 20 inches of snow has accumulated at City Hall (unofficial).
  • Snow fall is expected to continue through the day, expecting 2-4 more inches before 5 p.m. today.  Skies are expected to clear tonight, and temperatures will drop to dangerously low levels, with single digit temperatures predicted. Please limit outdoor activities tonight and into tomorrow morning.

  • Elks Hill is still open and all attempts will be made to keep it open.
  • Cinders are being put down but with continuing snow fall they also continue to get covered up and removed with the snow.
  • No City streets have been closed and no power outages have been reported.

  • Prescott Police Department is fully staffed and patrolling.
  • All City of Prescott fire stations are fully staffed and two additional reserve vehicles have been deployed.
