City of Prescott Earns 2018 Insurify Most Patriotic Cities Award

City of Prescott and the Prescott Chamber of Commerce today announced that it is the recipient of an Insurify Most Patriotic Cities Award. Award winners were determined by a nationwide analysis of the location of current and former military service members.

To determine the most patriotic community in each state, Insurify analyzed over nine hundred thousand auto insurance applications that indicated whether any individual named on the policy was a current or former service member. The resulting data set was analyzed to determine the percentage of residents in each community who identify as current or former military, and the top-ranking city in each state was identified.

Prescott Mayor Greg Mengarelli, who recently launched a Veterans Affairs Committee, and has several veteran-based initiatives underway in the City, was pleased with this designation.  “We know that Prescott has a higher than average concentration of military veterans,” he said.  “We want to make sure they receive the respect they have earned, and the services that they need, throughout Prescott,” he said.

Prescott Chamber of Commerce President Sheri Heiney agrees.    “Prescott is very proud of its Military community and this recognition,” she said.    “Starting in late 2017 the Prescott Chamber of Commerce partnered with Team RWB Prescott and the American Legion Post 6 to create networking events for Veteran Owned Businesses and Heroes Night honoring First Responders and those who have served our Country”

“Military service is a tradition that represents the best of America” said Snejina Zacharia, CEO of Insurify. “These awards recognize the communities in each state whose residents have contributed the most to our nation’s armed services.”
