The City of Prescott Solid Waste Division is proposing to add a new fee for Solid Waste customers that request the use of an Animal Proof Container in lieu of a 68-gallon solid waste container or a 68-gallon recycle container.  Animal proof containers are an optional container alternative for those customers that encounter problems with wildlife intrusion into a solid waste or recycle container, before they are emptied.  The containers have a special locking mechanism and are constructed of a heavier material to withstand animal intrusion.  Any request to place an animal proof container will be subject to one-year minimum usage and associated fees.

The Prescott City Council will consider and possibly adopt the new fee(s) for the use of animal proof containers for solid waste collection and disposal at its regularly scheduled City Council meeting on July 27, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., located in the City Council Chambers at Prescott City Hall, 201 S. Cortez Street, Prescott, AZ.
