Acker Trust Board
PURSUANT to Arizona Revised Statutes, Section 38-431.01 a Notice of Possible Quorum is hereby given because there may be a quorum of members from Council-appointed Boards, Commissions and Committees attending City Council Meetings and Work Sessions AND/OR there may also be a quorum of City Council members attending Council-appointed Boards, Commissions and Committees; however, no voting will take place.
The Acker Trust Board was originally established in 1992 as an advisory board to the City Council regarding the use or sale of any tract of land held in trust by the City of Prescott under the will of J.S. Acker in Section 1-13, Resolution No. 2463. In December 2011 Resolution No. 4113-1223 repealed all subsequent resolutions and amendments as follows: all terms are to be two (2), non-staggered terms to be appointed in March of every even-numbered year (after the previous fall election). The members may be regional residents. The Board consists of five board members with the Parks & Recreation Director serving as an ex-officio member to provide advice and assistance where possible. The Acker Trust Board shall submit their recommendations for any Acker Trust Land to the City Council of the City of Prescott. The Board meets as needed.
