Annexation Applications for Arizona Eco Development’s North and South Projects Received by the City of Prescott

The City of Prescott Planning Department has received two completed annexation applications from Arizona Eco Development. One application is for the property on the north end of Prescott, near the Prescott Municipal Airport, referred to as AED North, and the other application is for the property located off of Hwy 89 in the Granite Dells area, referred to as AED South.

The documents associated with the annexations, including the proposed master plan maps, are available to the public through the City of Prescott website (www.prescott-az.gov) on the Planning Projects page.

“The next steps in the annexation process will be staff review of the applications,” said City Planning Manager George Worley. “After that, both applications will be scheduled for consideration by the Planning & Zoning Commission. Since each of these annexations are for properties with acreage greater than 250, the Prescott City Charter mandates a public comment period of no less than sixty (60) days following Planning & Zoning review and before the City Council considers the requests.”

There are 3 elements to each of the submittals, which will be reviewed concurrently: a request for annexation, a master plan hearing application, and a rezoning application.

Physical copies of the annexation applications are also available for public review at the Clerk’s Office, as well as Community Development, at City of Prescott City Hall.
