2016 Prescott Historic Home Tour

The Prescott Historic Home Tour is an event planned by an all-volunteer committee, and supported by other local volunteer organizations in the community.

This year’s tour will be held on Saturday May 21st with the ticket booth located at Lincoln School, 201 Park Ave, opening at 9:30 am.  The tour will begin at 10am and last tickets will be sold at 3pm with houses closing for tours at 4pm.  Attendees will receive a map detailing locations of open homes and historical information about each house participating on the tour.

The area of this years’ tour covers Park Ave, Country Club Dr, Glendale Ave, Glenwood Ave, and Vista Dr.   We currently have 10 participating homes representing a variety of architectural styles.  The open homes will be clearly marked with a sign, and staged with volunteers positioned to help usher all of the visitors through the homes and ensure the care of each home on the tour.   In addition, the historic portions of Lincoln School will be open to tour as well.

There will be a fee of $15 charged for the tour or $13 for advanced purchased tickets (available at the Klein Properties and Investments, in the Firehouse Plaza at 220 W Goodwin St starting April 1st).  Children under 2 are free, and kids 3-13 are $9.  Parking for the event is free.

Prescott Historic Home Tour LLC is a non-profit organization dedicated to charitable causes and any proceeds from the event, above and beyond covering event costs, will be donated to local charities that directly benefit the community.

We will have portable toilets, trash and recycle receptacles staged for the event, and a youth group will sell water as part of a fundraiser for their organization.  We will also have volunteers throughout the neighborhood to make sure driveway access points stay clear and to assist with general questions.
