10th Annual Shootout on Whiskey Row July 25 and 26
The Prescott Regulators & Their Shady Ladies – voted the Best Re-enactment Group in the West according to True West Magazine in 2015- will host the 10th Annual Shootout on Whiskey Row Saturday and Sunday, September 25-26, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Their signature activity, the re-enactment competition, will feature six groups: The Arizona Ghostriders, The Boothill Express Company, the Colorado River Riders, Guns and Garters, Guns of the Round Table, and The Guns of Cripple Creek.
There will also be a favorite costume contest showcasing the best dressing in the West.
Featured entertainers include Dr. Buck's Wild Bunch (stunt performers), the Arizona Gunfighters (a professional re-enactment group from Phoenix), The Gypsy Chicks (belly dancers) and the Mojave Muleskinners (a re-enactment group from Apache Junction).
A new feature this year includes a western dance on Saturday night from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. "Five in the Wheel" will provide live music, food and drink will be available. This is a family night — everyone can enjoy the evening.
Also, for the first time the PRSL Long Riders will lead a group of riders on a 10-mile ride from north of town through Prescott's downtown streets – ending at the Mile High Middle School grounds a half block away from the headquarters of the Shootout. The Mayor of Prescott, Marlin Kuykendall, will lead the group through the city streets.
