The City of Prescott has completed chip seal operations on State Route 89, from just south of the newly installed roundabout at the Phippen Museum to the Willow Lake Road Roundabout.
With this work complete, crews will be applying a Polymer Modified Master Seal (PMM) on State Route 89, through the Granite Dells, from Monday, June 24, to Thursday, June 27, throughout daytime hours. Northbound traffic along State Route 89 may be closed to through traffic from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Southbound traffic on State Route 89 will remain open to through traffic. Please be aware of reduced speeds, rough roads, flagging operations, turning and lane restrictions during the PMM process. Motorists should allow for extra time to get through the area, or use an alternate route if possible.
To avoid any possibility of getting the PMM material on your vehicle, please do not enter or exit the roadway while the PMM application process is underway. Every attempt will be made to maintain access to your residence or business. However, when PMM operations are taking place at a street entrance or a driveway, a temporary interruption of access will be necessary.
