Chip Seal Operations on State Route 89, through the Granite Dells, to Begin June 17, 2019

The City of Prescott has completed asphalt milling and paving operations on State Route 89, from just south of the newly installed roundabout at the Phippen Museum to the Willow Lake Road Roundabout.

With this work complete, chip sealing operations on State Route 89, through the Granite Dells, will take place from Monday, June 17, to Wednesday, June 19, throughout daytime hours. Northbound traffic along State Route 89 may be closed to through traffic from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Southbound traffic on State Route 89 will remain open to through traffic. Please be aware of reduced speeds, rough roads, flagging operations, turning and lane restrictions during the chip seal process. Motorists should allow for extra time to get through the area, or use an alternate route if possible.

To avoid any possibility of getting the chip seal material on your vehicle, please do not enter or exit the roadway while the chip seal application process is underway. Every attempt will be made to maintain access to your residence or business. However, when chip sealing operations are taking place at a street entrance or a driveway, a temporary interruption of access will be necessary.
