Prescott Police to Participate in Holiday Traffic Enforcement Details

The Prescott Police Department along with other local agencies will work together to conduct several special traffic details related to speed, aggressive driving and impaired drivers during the week of November 25th, 2019. Officers will be conducting a speed and aggressive driver detail this Wednesday November 27th, 2019 from 2pm until 6pm on Highway 89A between Highway 89 and Fain Road.

On Saturday November 30th, 2019 a multi agency DUI Taskforce will focus on impaired driver enforcement with officers conducting saturation patrols from 8pm until 2am.

We would like to remind everyone the need to be safe during the holiday season and drive with care and consideration of others. Designate a driver if you plan to attend holiday parties and never attempt to drive while impaired. With the busy holiday season and the potential for inclement weather resulting in poor road conditions we ask that all drivers please obey the speed limits and if you don’t need to drive please stay home.

It is our goal it reduce traffic collisions and injuries that occur due to impaired driving, distracted driving or due to speed and aggressive driving by conducting these enforcement details. We hope that everyone drives safe and has an enjoyable holiday season.
