City of Prescott Appoints Dana DeLong City Clerk

The City of Prescott is pleased to announce Dana DeLong will be the new City Clerk. The City Council approved her appointment on November 12 and she will begin in her new role on December 2.

DeLong comes to the Prescott City Clerk position with 20 years of municipal clerk office experience. Prior to her appointment DeLong was a long time employee of the City of Tucson, City Clerk's Office where she gained extensive experience in records, agenda, and elections management. Most recently DeLong held the position of City Records Manager where she developed her passion for preserving the history of municipal government. She holds a Certified Municipal Clerk designation and is a Certified Election Official.

"We are delighted to welcome Dana to the City of Prescott," said Mayor Marlin Kuykendall. "She brings a wealth of experience and she has a strong background managing the critical functions of city government."

"This is a tremendous honor and I am excited about the opportunity to live and work in a great community like Prescott," said DeLong. "My goal is to make this a seamless transition and to provide great service to the citizens of Prescott."

DeLong will replace Lynn Mulhall who is retiring January 3, 2014.
