Workshop

Time: 1:30 pm Council will tour and be given updates on the downtown Elks Opera House renovation.

Highlights

Council will hear presentations for city staff members regarding the city's pavement management plan's priority projects which would be funded out of the capital improvement program.

Focus will be on bonding for these projects.

Top Priority Projects (with complete designs)

Widening city's portion of Williamson Valley Road —$7.4 million

Senator Hwy Improvements $3.7 million

Park Avenue Improvements $2.1 million

South Mount Vernon Improvements $1.8 million

Rosser Street Improvements $1.8 million

—Council will also consider a change in the city's contract with the Adult Center of Prescott reducing the amount of money the city contributes its operation.

The Adult Center currently receives $80,000 per year in city funding to help cover operating expenses. The new agreement before council would reduce the city's contribution at a rate of $16,000 per year over next five years, effectively zeroing out the yearly contribution by 2015.
