Granite Street Parking Garage West Staircase Will Be Closed for Repairs

The west Grand Staircase of the Granite Street Parking Garage will be closed for repairs from Monday, September 11 through Thursday November 30, 2017.

Access to the elevator on the west side of the parking garage will exhibit barriers and warning signs to the north, prohibiting access to the Grand staircase for the safety of the Public. The elevator will remain in service during these repairs.

The city-owned garage, which has about 500 spaces, was opened in 2005. “Despite the closure, it is anticipated that all parking spaces will be available to the public”.

The City of Prescott will be advising patrons of the parking garage Grand Staircase closure through signs and traffic control.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience this will cause. Every effort is being made to minimize the downtime and updates will be posted on the City of Prescott website and by public notice as they occur. The City appreciates your cooperation and patience during the period of partial closure for repairs on the Grand staircase. For more information, call 928-777-1201.
