Sustainable beekeeping is cosponsored by: Prescott College Environmental Studies Program, Honeybeeteacher.com and the Northern Arizona Organic Beekeepers Association.
This summer, Dr. Patrick Pynes will be teaching a hands-on, how-to workshop about keeping honeybees in simple top bar hives. The workshop will consist of 4 five-hour classes held at Prescott College Jenner Farm in Skull Valley, AZ. Some topics covered will include fundamental principles and tools of sustainable beekeeping, honeybee ecology, relationships between honeybees and flowering plants, and how to support the health and well-being of honeybees.
Dates (all Saturdays): May 31, June 14, June 28, and July 19, 2014 From 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
Cost: $300.00 for all four workshops, $90.00 for individual workshops
