TWO DAY FESTIVAL TO INCLUDE: live vocals, gospel, blues and jazz featuring artist's from Hawaii, San Diego, Chicago and Arizona. Festival will be headlined by iconic jazz saxophonist CHARLES McPHERSON performing and lecturing. The featured artist's will be backed by Phoenix favorite son pianist CHARLES LEWIS; Chicago 1st call bassist HARRISON BANKHEAD; the incomparable Phoenix drummer, DOWELL DAVIS. Other featured performers are vocalist RAY BROWN JR. (son of Ella Fitzgerald and bassist Ray Brown Sr.), saxophonist MILT CANNON (President of the Prescott Jazz Society & Festival Director), gospel vocalist MARILYN CARTER (of the St. Luke Ebony Christian Church Mass Choir) and the The Tommy Dukes Blues Band. The 2-day festival will also offer overnight accommodations, a cabaret show each day, music clinic, bible study, swimming, dancing, hiking. the JOHNSON'S Praise Dance Duo, food vendors, retail vendors, art exhibits, roving quick draw vendor and the best Bar-B-Que west of the Mississippi river. There will be a number of raffle prize drawings throughout the two days.
