Thursday, January 9, 2014 - Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM

Ed Gary, Nashville Recording Artist and Prescott Opry Emcee, has a dynamite entertainment package for you this month that is sure to whisk away those chilly Winter blues. “At the Prescott Opry, we are all about preserving the past and promoting the future… and that’s just what we have for our audience this month” says Ed. Steve represents the best in Country classics, Sandy is a new voice to Prescott who pays tribute to the Women of Country beautifully; and Keenan is what the future of County is all about.

STEVE CHRISTIANSEN Since moving to Arizona from Minnesota, where he was a celebrated Country performer, Steve has been playing to packed houses in the Valley with his “One Man’s Tribute to the great Johnny Cash.” Returning to our stage after far too long an absence, his performance schedule finally allows us to welcome him back to Prescott. Come and be transported back in time as Steve’s multi-faceted voice resonates such country classics as Amanda; the Wreck of the Old 97; and Bob Wills is still the King.

SANDY JACOBS Sandra Jacobs has performed for over a decade, promoting the preservation of traditional country music. The voice of this hillbilly refugee (yep, she’s from Arkansas!) takes you back to the real country sounds and songs. Her powerful voice delivers every note right to your seat. Sandra especially loves to share music from the pioneering “girl singers” such as Patsy Montana, Kitty Wells, Loretta Lynn, and Wanda Jackson. Hear her perform several of their greatest hits as she graces the stage of the beautifully restored Elks Theater this month.

KEENAN HAMMACK Those who attended our September performance have already met this dynamic young musician when he performed with the Cheyenne Jasper Band. Cheyenne calls Keenan the “King of the Tricky-Licks” for his amazing ability to perform intricate musical runs on his guitar. Considering that he has only been playing for about 2 years, his instructor Drew Hall must be extremely proud of this young prodigy. A typical teenager, in addition to being a member of the Sharlot Hall Youth Group “Generation,” he is a student at Granite Mountain Middle School, and is active in 4-H. Prepare to be blown away by Keenan’s instrumental genius.

BRUSH ARBOR REVIVAL Always an audience pleaser, this Bluegrass Gospel Quartet has been a Prescott Opry staple since our beginning. Their instrumental prowess, their beautifully blended harmonies and their down-home country humor is sure to bring back memories of when great, family oriented entertainment, was the rage.

There is something to please everyone this month, so come on out and enjoy an evening of pure entertainment at the beautifully restored Elks Theater!
