40th Annual Folk Arts Fair
Saturday, June 1, 2013 - Sunday, June 2, 2013
415 W. Gurley St., Prescott
The annual Folk Arts Fair is a family favorite at Sharlot Hall Museum! Join us as we transport the Museum grounds into a "Village of Traditions" with several areas dedicated to making frontier clothing, crafts, food and music. Women's work, men's tasks and children's play of the pioneer era will be on exhibit. Come make your own corn husk doll, dip your own candles, pan for gold or participate in a number of other fun old-fashioned activities. Demonstrations will include spinning and weaving, basket making, wood carving, leatherwork, sheep shearing and other important aspects of frontier life that will make for a fun and educational day. Military exhibits will include antique firearms and an authentic Gatlin gun collection, and the Prescott Antique Auto Club will be showing off their amazing collection of vintage vehicles. This is a family event not to be missed! Admission is just $3 for Museum members and $7 for adults. Children age 17 and under are free. The fair will run Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
