Prescott, Ariz. - Santa Con, a worldwide event taking place in over 250 locations across 40 countries has come to Prescott thanks to Kayla Stazenski. On Saturday, December 7, as the town fills with those awaiting the Courthouse Lighting, Santas, Reindeer, Elves, and the like will be wandering down Whiskey Row following their way the North Pole. Wanting to embrace the true spirit of Christmas, Prescott style, this Santa Con will be slightly nontraditional by turning this fun filled event/pub crawl into a charity event benefitting Toys for Tots. The evening of the event, participants can register at The Prescott Cantina at 214 S. Montezuma between 6-9pm. Participants need to be dressed in holiday costume and contribute a toy or 5$ donation to Toys for Tots. Upon registration, Santa Con-ers will receive a map that will guide them through the famed Whiskey Row and lead them to the final destination at Lyzzard's Lounge. Several establishments downtown are in on the fun. Santa Con welcomes Santas, Mrs. Clauses, elves, snowmen, reindeer, presents, chimneys or whatever other festive creations participants can think of.
