Spencer Day - National Jazz Artist - Need for Feed Charity Concert

Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Elks Opera House

Spencer Day will perform songs from his albums to help feed rescued horses. His 2004 debut album, Introducing Spencer Day, was a collection of standards, but the title track from Movie of Your Life, released the following year, won the San Francisco Academy of Art Universityâs 2005 competition for best original song. Day creates a blend of classic jazz, pop and soul that has drawn his comparison with everyone from Harry Connick Jr. to Jamie Cullum. The Mystery of You, Dayâs new album is filled with stylistic nuances, some with a James Bond feel.

Opening for Spencer will be Ricci Hardt, from Oil City, PA. Ricci has been singing and performing for well over 20 years. From Seattle to Nashville, Pittsburgh to Phoenix, San Francisco to Atlanta, Ricci has performed hundreds of venues. Ricci's style includes a unique mixture of blues, jazz, country, pop and acoustic.

Opening the show, Jake Busby, Texaco Country Show Down 2011 winner and 2013 3rd place winner, will take the stage to share his unique style of outlaw originals and bluesy ballots.
