"Family Got You Over A Barrel?" Family History Workshop

The Northern Arizona Genealogical Society (NAGS) and The Prescott Family History Center (FHC) invite the general public to attend the 2013 Genealogy Workshop â€śFamily Got You Over a Barrel?â€ť on Saturday, October 26, 2013. The workshop will be from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm at the LDS Church, 1001 Ruth Street, Prescott.
The workshop will contain twenty-eight different classes for participants to attend. Classes include topics such as: Scandinavian Research, Immigration Records, Building Genealogy Detective Skills, Using Online Federal Census and Using Probate Records. Additionally, using todayâ€™s technology for genealogy research will be addressed with classes such as Googling for Genealogy, Exploring Google Earth for Genealogy and Pinterest/Twitter for Genealogy.
President, Raylene Junkins explains, â€śThis workshop, held annually, offers classes for the beginner to the advanced genealogist. The workshop also includes a delicious homemade lunch. To reserve a seat in any or several of the workshop classes a donation of $10 should be received before October 21st or $15 after October 21. Classes typically fill up fast and are reserved on a first come-first served basis. I encourage everyone to reserve the classes of their choice early.â€ť Early registration deadline is October 21, 2013.
