Harvey â Comedy by Mary Chase, directed by Bruce Thomson

Mary Chase's Pulitzer Prize-winner tells the enduring and endearing story of the charming eccentric Elwood P Dowd and his 6-foot tall invisible Rabbit companion Harvey.

As they tipple from tavern to tavern or wherever they may go, Elwood and Harvey are instant friends with everyone they meet. But after Elwood causes social embarrassment by introducing Harvey to his sister Veta's society friends, she and her daughter Myrtle Mae decide to have Elwood committed to the care of Dr. Chumley at the local sanitarium, Chumley's Rest, where mistaken identity leads to a comically improper diagnosis and hilarious consequences.

In the play's climactic scene, Veta--and all of us--will be asking ourselves whether "normal" is all it's cracked up to be.
